As a Primary Care Network (PCN) Clinic pharmacist, I combine my MPharmSci, MSc Clinical Pharmacy and IP PG Cert with 16 years of experience in pharmacy and general practice to deliver high quality, patient-centred, and cost-effective care. I have lead and mentor a team of two pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians, and worked closely with three practice pharmacist and one pharmacy technician and together we oversee the medication management for 23 000 patients, and also run a successful primary and secondary cardiovascular prevention clinic, for the past four years.
I am also passionate about sharing my knowledge and insights with the wider PCN and MDT team and enjoyed participating in clinic and MDT meeting, aiming to achieve the best outcome for patients. During the last four years I have been optimizing patient medication and deprescribing when possible.
I am a caring self-motivated individual with passion for helping people and improving their quality of life. I have the desire and the enthusiasm to assist the public with their healthcare needs. I am a confident team player, thriving on challenge and with a positive, cheerful attitude to patient care. I have a special interest in Cardiovascular Conditions and cardiovascular prevention. I have proven my leadership skills not only by being the Lead Pharmacist for the PCN but also the PCN lead for the COVID vaccination programme during 2020 to 2023 and as a Pharmacist Manager responsible for 12 members of staff in a successful community pharmacy.
