Academically speaking I am a trained security analyst, specialized in the recognition and extrapolation of complex patterns via the application of risk analysis criteria and an holistic approach to research. In my Master of Sciences' thesis I have explored the main security threats to regional stability in the Wider Mediterranean region, placing a particular effort on understanding the ongoing competition between regional State and Non State Actors in redefining regional spheres of influence, terrorist and criminal organizations displaying a transnational network of operations and command, as well as the involvement of exogenous Powers in the area.
