Whilst working at Sam's Koffie, I worked as a waitress and caffe manager. I had the responsibility of not only serving clients, but also managing stock and cashier. I assessed customer needs and proactively assisted customers. I drove business through providing excellent customer service and product knowledge as well as improved my customer relationship building skills to be certain customers would return and enjoy their experience.
At the International Food Fair PLMA in Amsterdam, I participated as a Sales Assistant for a private label company selling Brazilian products (Sauda). I communicated with possible buyers explaining the brand and the products it offers, whilst trying to persuade them and better understand how the product would fit their markets.
Whilst working at a Merchandise Store at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix I has the responsibility of managing stock and assisted clients in their purchases by helping them with anything necessary. I accounted for daily sales and ensured what was received matched with what was inputed in the system. This experience helped me work in stressful and demanding environments and aided my development of finding and implementing solutions to unexpected issues.
Working and a Manager Intern at Pazzi Noord, I had two main functions. Firstly, I worked in customer service by serving tables, taking orders, and working the cashier machine. Secondly, I assisted management in an expansion plan by conducting research and analysing the possible opportunities available in the market. This allowed me to put into practice my planning, research, and analysis skills and better understand the working environment.
I volunteered as a tutor during secondary school. This allowed me to develop my communication and problem solving skills as I had to identify different ways to teach and ensure students were able to understand the topics being taught as each pupil learnt differently,
At this establishment I worked as a waitress, barista, and cashier. This experience introduced me to customer service and provided me with a set of skills that are transferable to different industries.
Student Representative, University of Amsterdam
September 2021‑ June 2023
I became one of the Student Representatives of my Bachelor's DEgree. With this role, I communicated any issues or doubts my peers had to the Business and Economics Board. Moreover, we brainstormed possible solutions and successful ways to implement these into the University environment.
Volleyball Team Player, Amsterdam
October 2021‑ June 2022
I was part of the University of Amsterdam volleyball team where we had weekly practices and games. This experience allowed me to develop my team‑building, time‑management, and social skills. This allowed me to expand my social circle and have greater contact with the Dutch culture, as being part of such an international university made it hard to have a lot of contact with the local culture and customs.
