FITSS currently is my software agency which focuses on delivering tailored software and consultancy to clients. I've been brought in a research project (iCoNiC) in University of Bucharest by my bachelor's degree professor.

The research project focus was in academic co-authoring network.

My role started as scraping Scopus for metadata on peer-reviewed literature articles, with focus on Europe countries, then building the co-authoring networks of academics.

As database had grown over >1M articles analysis using usual graph processing methods started to fail.

So I've delved in "big-data" processing methods.

After failing attempts on different graph-oriented databases and ElasticSearch I've successfully used pySpark to build and analyze the co-authoring academic network.

ETL on >5m authors and >100M connections.

Worked mainly on startup projects, individual, local and distributed teams. Been using a diverse stack of technologies and had been involved in projects which required robust delivery and keeping daily status updated to stack-holders.
