  • As the R&D VP for Infovista's automated assurance Ativa product, I'm responsible for an engineering team of 120 FTE's, distributed across six countries.
  • My responsibilities included the direct supervision / mentoring of R&D directors / managers / architects, budget oversight, stakeholder management, strategic planning and recruitment.
  • I ensured the delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions in line with product management strategies and industry trends.
  • By cultivating a collaborative and efficient environment, I significantly enhanced the product's performance, scalability, reliability and TCO while always delivering on time and with high quality.
  • I'm also responsible for Infovista Agentic Framework, Infovista Cloud Platform and more recently Hammer Cloud Platform, an active testing platform for voice and real-time service assurance

  • My role included leading the analysis and design of GR features, as driven by Product Management.
  • During that period I also job rotated with professional services teams, working as a Solution Architect for several assurance customization projects.
  • I provided pre-sales support for important assurance projects and worked directly with end customers in several critical initiatives.
  • I produced architecture requirements, descriptions, design, and interface specifications, and supported R&D teams in all technical activities, including development, testing, performance, and documentation.
  • I led complex customer escalations, coordinating across R&D, technical support, and services teams.
  • Additionally, I provided direct support for the T-PIM solution, leading studies and PoCs to optimize the TMO-US customized Global Reporter solution.

Project Leader and Architect

  • In my role as Project Leader and Architect for NetAct Reporting Suites, I was responsible for delivering NetAct Reporting Suites, a set of technology specific content packages composed of KPIs and reports used by operators to monitor the health of their 2G/3G/Core network.
  • The solution was based on J2EE-based reporting framework and content suite, which was initially built in NSN Denmark and then transferred to Portugal under my leadership, where I've successfully ramped up a local team of 20 engineers that further developed and maintained the solution.
  • My active involvement spanned across various facets of the project, including team building, knowledge enhancement, support for product lifecycle activities and coordination with internal stakeholders such as the NetAct program.
  • As an architect, I played a pivotal role in formulating requirements, designing and defining interface specifications.
  • My support extended to addressing the technical queries of over 200 customers worldwide and resolving complex field problems.

Software Developer / Telecom Analyst

  • In this position, I played a key role in the development and upkeep of the ETL system supporting the SPOTS Performance Monitoring application.
  • This included developing C/C++/Java based technology plugins to collect, parse, transform, filter and forward PM files content.
  • Additionally, my responsibilities extended to translating Performance Monitoring (PM) specifications from diverse Network Elements and Element Managers into the SPOTS data model.
  • This involved meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of telecom mobile, core and transport domains.
  • I also defined and implemented telecom Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and PM reports for specific network domains, contributing to the refinement and expansion of SPOTS' capabilities in providing further insights for network visibility.

  • I contributed to the development, maintenance and support of a custom J2EE e-ticketing solution for one of Portugal's major media companies.
